How can I reuse or recycle beer bottle caps?

Bottle capsWe already know what to do with narrow-necked glass bottles like those used for beer or lager and plastic screw-on caps, but what about the metal bottlecaps?

Like so many little random things, these lids seem infinitely usable – I just can’t think of many ideas to use them up.

Any suggestions?

Im making a list of 100 things to do with bottle caps. You can also make a back scratcher too.

  2. Dani says:

decorate inside & fill with dimensional glue to make bookmarks, attach a bail to make a pendant or attach a magnet on the back after decorating.

attach a paperclip to the back & make a tiny scoop for embossing powder, glitter, etc. for crafts.

If you buy a table and then glue the bottle caps to it, it will look really cool. There are many ideas on how to do this.

my granddaughter and her mom & me, the grandma have been tryng to fine the metal -beer bottle type, bottle caps for quite a while. I bought her a little craft kit, it came with about 10 caps, she glues her little critters (from those vending machines right outside of stores) into the caps. Can I buy some from you ? I will be glad to pay postage, I’m not sure how to do that, but really I am serious. Do you know where I can get some bottle caps ? We don’t drink bear, I don’t know what else they come on. I would really appreciate your help.

Try looking for a brew your own beer store. A place that sells everything you need to brew your own beer also sells unused plain metal bottle caps.

Heads up I’m in Canada. I know it’s been a while since you posted, but I work at a bar and I’ve been collecting them. I have about 2 gallons… Looking for a charity to take them and hopefully make wheelchairs out of them or something rather. I’ll gladly give them to you if it would make you or yours happy.

You could make a lagerphone – a musical instrument quite commonly used in bush bands here in Australia. Do an internet search to get a few ideas. Basically they are loosely nailed onto a stick of wood and when you knock the wood on the floor they jingle & sound great!
