Since it’s coming up to Valentine’s Day, I thought it might be nice to have a round up of fun recycling/upcycling Valentine’s Day crafts – for inspiration or purchase!

Will you be upcycling or recycling anything for your loved one(s) for Valentine’s Day? If so, tell us your plans – if it won’t ruin the surprise ;)

I used food boxes (mac and cheese, cereal, etc), candy wrappers, and scrap paper from my kids’ backpacks to create all the valentine’s for their classroom exchange. Check out pictures at http://thestewardship.blogspot.com. The entry is called My Funny Valentine

ooh, love your hearts in the laptop idea, Louisa!

  3. I made a photo album for my husband from an old circuit board (he accidentally blew one up while working on his senior design project) old newspaper and leftover paint. I also added flashing lights from an old card.

He loved it because it had something important to him that was just laying around, now he gets to display it. I am sure there are other things that could be used for the cover maybe an xbox game box or a photocopy of a book or game glued on cardboard. I don’t know, I guess that is up to you guys.

  4. i think these are great ideas, as a couple we only exchanged cards. Love is more than just one commercial day :)
