I've asked a few times for less of the plastic film and sheeting. I've also asked if they can wrap in paper instead (depending upon what I'm buying). Some of the people understand and are nice about it, even though they can't always do what you ask, but some look at you like you have horns. It will probably just have to become a common thing to be asked to reduce the amount they use before they get the message in general.
