		<description>You could just wash off anything its picked up off the floor then cook it - you&#039;ll be boiling it for more than 5 minutes anyway, so whatever bacteria you are worried about picking up off your floor will be long dead by the time you put it on your table...

That&#039;s what my mum would have done, and that&#039;s what I do, so far I&#039;ve survived until 35 years of age and the only food poisoning I&#039;ve suffered from was a creamy pasta dish from a local italian eaterie about 10 years ago...that I no longer frequent (alright, I&#039;ve been back twice, but never ordered anything creamy).
