That's what my mum would have done, and that's what I do, so far I've survived until 35 years of age and the only food poisoning I've suffered from was a creamy pasta dish from a local italian eaterie about 10 years ago...that I no longer frequent (alright, I've been back twice, but never ordered anything creamy). :) You could just wash off anything its picked up off the floor then cook it – you’ll be boiling it for more than 5 minutes anyway, so whatever bacteria you are worried about picking up off your floor will be long dead by the time you put it on your table…

That’s what my mum would have done, and that’s what I do, so far I’ve survived until 35 years of age and the only food poisoning I’ve suffered from was a creamy pasta dish from a local italian eaterie about 10 years ago…that I no longer frequent (alright, I’ve been back twice, but never ordered anything creamy).
