If you know someone who knows their electrical appliances, you could ask them to check if there’s life in it yet! My boyfriend has resuscitated a couple of things (including an epilator) that I thought were dead.

Under the WEEE regulations; electrical retailers should have a “Take back” policy so if you are buying an item to replace an identical or similar item the retailer is obliged to take the old item for recycling even if you bought it from somewhere else. This service is free.

A barbers shop near me advertises razor repairs so maybe other barbers shops offer this service. It might cost more than a new razor though.
